All Day Demonstration
In this full day demonstration you will learn how to turn an off centre - off axis double-sided sculpture using a vacuum chuck so that you can design on both sides. One side asymmetrical, one side symmetrical. You will also learn methods for applying the design, rotary carving, burning, and coloring. There will also be two short slide presentations which will touch on design, form and inspiration.
All Day Workshop
This hands on workshop is designed in stages so that you can experience what it is like to turn an off axis - off center piece on one side of the workpiece and then to use all the methods that Douglas uses to apply a design, carve, burn and colour the piece. By the end of the day you should have something to be proud of and you will have picked up a number of new skills and techniques in the process.
